Our troop has been attacked by the Roc - A story
On Tuesday I along with my troop of 5 members started our journey from Europe. We headed with three boats. Two more people were there With me and others were in another boat. We went towards Madagascar. We all were scared because we heard from people that there is a very huge bird which can even lift an elephant. When we started our journey the sky was clear and it was a sunny day. We all were happy that we were going somewhere to earn for our family, especially James and Peter. They both were best friends. Suddenly The sky became dark and the water waves went very high. As our boat was made by me especially so it was a bit different from other boats. It had a particular area for storage and for sleeping. So we went inside and had a good nap.
When we woke up the sky was clear but we all could see that far away from us there were dark clouds with heavy rains which were coming towards us. Everyone got scared. Slowly slowly the clouds brought heavy rain. The waves were so high that We thought now or then our boat would turn. It was almost afternoon. The rain was still heavy. Then all of us saw something coming towards us. As if it was finding something to eat and where it could get a shelter. Slowly and steadily it was coming towards us, as it came towards us it grew bigger and bigger. And finally, it was in front of us. It was 10 times bigger than an elephant, it had big wings and claws. From the body structure, we understood that it was a Roc bird. I could feel the ground slipping under my foot. Everyone was terrified.
We were scared that what if it saw us and attacked us! And that only happened it came towards us. The air coming from its flapping wings was very fast. It came towards the other boat in which James and Peter were there. He came and grabbed James and went very high. He shouted and asked for help again and again. And then it dropped him from a certain height. And coincidentally he fell near our boat. I told everyone to jump into the sea immediately and hide under the boat so the bird couldn’t see us. We all did that and we also rescued James. We waited until the Roc bird went. When the bird went we came up and dried our clothes and consoled ourselves.
Now it was nighttime so we went inside to sleep but none of us was asleep. We all were thinking of that terrifying time. In the morning we reached the bank of the sea of Madagascar. We all tried our best to forget those bad memories.
But definitely, I could say this was a horrible journey.
